Scotland’s lochs and waterways tour

  • Tuesday steam cruise on Loch Katrine and then on to Stirling, passing through the glorious Trossachs countryside.
  • Wednesday a trip to the Falkirk Wheel (including a ride on the boat lift) and The Kelpies (magnificent mythical seahorse statues).
  • Wednesday includes a 90-minute cruise on the Forth under the 3 famous bridges (included).
  • Thursday a scenic loch tour through the lowlands to the highlands.

A wonderful tour of Scotland’s lochs and waterways. Tuesday we start the tour off with a steam cruise on Loch Katrine (included), followed by an excursion through part of the magnificent Trossachs, and finishing the day in the historic city of Stirling with its iconic castle situated on craggy volcanic rock.

Wednesday we travel to Falkirk to see The Kelpies, and the Falkirk Wheel, the unique rotating wheel boat lift, which connects the Forth and Clyde canal with the Union canal. We then enjoy a cruise on the Forth to pass under the three famous historical Scottish bridges (included).

Thursday we take a loch tour, starting with Loch Lomond and pausing lunch at lnverarry. We then travel on by the shores of the Loch Awe and into Ferthshire, passing Kilchurn Castle and on to Loch Earn, with a short stop at Crieff before returning to the hotel.

The traditional Rob Roy Hotel is a short stroll along the banks of the Forth River to the picturesque village of Aberfoyle where you will find Scottish made Arts, Crafts and Clothing, and 3 Visitor Centres. All the en-suite bedrooms have tea and coffee making facilities and TV. Lift to all floors. The stay includes bed, breakfast and evening meal, and hotel entertainment most nights.
